Me too. Sadly it seems that they are all 27.2 (pretty much njs standard it seems)
You don't happen to have a Bridgestone too do you Andrew?Someone kindly offered me access to a lathe which I can use to trim it down to 27.
I will do that just as soon as I can actually afford to pay £60 for a seatpost. -

HI Brain-flick.
It's a pain isn't it.
I ride a white Fred Williams.I've just got in contact with a shop in the states who are giving me a quote on one... maybe we could share postage... thought I'd try here first before the whole shipping ball-ache.

Watch out for customs. Ask the seller to declare it as a gift.

I used to own a bridgestone.
Go to a frame builder/ lbs and ask them to increase the diameter of the seat tube.
Mine was done at Kalavinka- where I picked up the frame- so no help there.
hope that helps! -

There a guy in the forum who lives in Japan, pete, he offered to send stuff over - nitto s65 posts 27.0 are bout £30 (£40 inc postage) - he'll look you up.
If it makes anyone feel any better, Slamm had a nitto sp72 in 27.0 for sale - i bought it from him. I will not sell....(smug)

Hmmm.
That would be great... How tight are the tolerances on steel?
Anyone know of somewhere in town i could get the seat-tube opened up? -

Eyebrows, was that the Bridgestone you sold me? Because it would not take a 27.2 when I tried, ended up getting a Gipiemme 27 off t.o. off here.
If it's not too much, get one here. $99

hmmm.... that's interesting.
I remember them reaming it- may be they went from 26.8 to 27.0 or something
I just remember them saying 'we'll make it so it fits a more normal size'
I'll have to check the seatpost I have....
(not nitto) -
