Watching le Tour prologue on Serpentine Rd. last year, at one point a squirrel wandered onto the road (how he/she got past the spectator barriers on both sides of the road, I've no idea (perhaps fell from a tree??)). It ran back and forth across the road as spectators tried to encourage it off the road. One of the cars preceding a rider, drove over it without harming it, and then the motorcycle cops gave it such a fright it jumped about a metre in the air, and then darted off through the barriers (unfortunately I was at the end of a roll of film, and had my 20mm at the time of its' appearance, so this is the only photo of the incident I have). Made us laugh and generated lots of discussion amongst the surrounding spectators.
