That tacx tool is good, the key being that it stays attached to the axle to prevent it slipping off and either destroying the splines on the bb, or those on the tool. A big adjustable will work, but a 32mm headset spanner fits perfectly and usually offers the same amount of leverage...some cheap or slightly knackered adjustable spanners can slip off the tool easily.
Alternatively, get one of these mothers....
