  • I understand that vegetarians do not eat ANY animal meat, i.e. no red, white meat or fish. Saying you're a vegetarian who eats fish is like saying you're a ... vegetarian who eats fish. You just can't do it. The proper term is "I no meat except (certain) seafood".

    Let's be precise with our terms, people, so there may be no ambiguity concerning interpretation of opinions.

    ever traveled abroad? try explaining that in another language. asking for 'no meat' in spain/france//italy/sri lanka/wherever, they just give you pork or chicken. 'meat' in a lot of cultures means beef. so no thanks, i'll stick to my phrasing, so i don't get ham in my food.
