The selection procedure for the place I got was tough, but it was all on-the-day type stuff with no pre-preparation (apart from a 5min presentation on a subject of our choice) so it wasn't too much of a hardship. Case studies are a bitch but generally I think they're looking for how you think not what you know. They want someone hardworking and dedicated who can communicate effectively. Good people skills are important in a lot of sectors too.
