or he wanted to see if it was his.
dude asks: "where did you get it from?"
you say: "some shop"
he says: "it's mine and you probably bought it from dude that stole it off me"
you say: "i paid £30 for it"
you negotiate, he gives you £10 and everyone walks away happy

Having said that, some chick held her arm up to signal a bus, as I was riding past. She held it up for a long time.. so when I rode past I yelled Heil HITLER!!
Funny.. for me ;)Once, in a similar scenario I felt a need to hi-5 the other person. So I did.
I assume they went home and told the story about the crazy guy on the bike who hadn't learnt how bus/taxis are hailed.
Well, it made me smile anyway.

I tried that while yelling "high 5!" in a Borat esq voice, everyone initially ducked and then laughed.

Pimps right - just say hello and slowely lick your lips as you work the top of the pump.

I did that on the commute last night. As I passed a woman, she sneezed so I said bless you. No thanks in return though but I smiled anyway. Having said that, some chick held her arm up to signal a bus, as I was riding past. She held it up for a long time.. so when I rode past I yelled Heil HITLER!!
