I bought a Bowery recently (for £325 from Edwardes) and it's got a flip-flop hub, so no problem to ride fixed. I like the bike (my first fixie) a lot. It feels similar to my Cannondale road bike which was over three times the price. If you're a big guy, I'd definitely recommend it. I'm 6'7" and this bike fitted far far better than any of the others I tried in the largest frame sizes (Fuji Track, Langster, Genesis Flyer)...
