Yes and no... you missed the boat on the main order, but depending on what you want to order I did build some spares in the order. I have spares of Airfix and Rabbit mediums, but not many other spares as I'm expecting a couple of people will want to swap sizes on what they've ordered.

Hmmm, probably is too late as I'd be after:

Medium would make nice gloves, or bed socks. That'll teach me to keep thinking 'oh I must have a look at that thread' and then do nothing about it...

No chance. They might arrive end of next week, but I've told them to hold it over a couple of days until I'm back. So they're certainly not going to arrive a month later.

I've got the samples. And they are fabulous. The rabbit one especially (yeah, personal preference I know).

I've just called them to say they're cool and to proceed only to be told that Continental who produce the Bamboo are out of stock until mid-June at the earliest. So the printer can only use the stock that they already have on hand.

What this means is:
The Smalls are cool.
The Extra Larges are cool.

The Larges, they're about 10 short of the needed quantity.
The Mediums, they're about 90 short!

They've offered me a more expensive organic cotton shirt instead with no additional charge (finer stitching, thick densely woven cotton). The Bamboos just aren't available until Continental manufacture more and that affects all printers in the UK so it's not like switching now would help, and if we did switch it would hit the artwork costs.

Anyhow... I'm cool for accepting 10 Larges (probably the WAC design) in cotton.

But whether to accept the bulk of WAC, Rabbit and a few Airfix mediums as cotton... unsure. The bamboo is dead sweet. I'm giving priority to the most popular shirts, so if we have bamboo it's going on Airfix first.

So the question is: Would you accept some of the mediums in cotton, or do you prefer to wait a month or so longer until bamboos become available?

That's all I need to know so I can give the green light on the rest of the order (it's all now waiting for me to approve the order as is, or make changes and add delay).

I'm tempted to mix... order the cotton now. And then order some bamboo later.

If you express that you want your order held for bamboo... then we would. Otherwise you'll get a cotton one.

That sounds cool right? And only one more piece of data for me to track! :)

bamboo for me. having experienced the nice feel of a bamboo fibre'd underwear, i wont accept anything less

Maybe this needs a 'wait / don't wait' poll?

Personally I'd be happy to hold out for the bamboo as it sounds like a nice material. And i'd be dissapointed to see someone with it if i ended up with cotton.

I would much rather have bamboo, the listed qualities sound much better than cotton.

I'm going to green light it... cotton.

However, I'm only going to dispatch the ones that meet the original expectations... I'm not going to ship cotton Mediums unless people explicitly tell me they're happy taking them.

What does this mean? Well you get what you expected when you paid. Even if it takes a little longer for the Medium bamboo people.

What on earth am I going to do with the cotton shirts? A combination of things, but basically any subsequent orders as well as any impatient people who'd rather get their shirts sooner will be given the cotton ones. Then the cotton ones will gradually be sold slowly after all the bamboo are gone, but ordering now keeps the unit price across the board and printing costs low... ordering the remaining bamboo to follow is easy enough.

So yeah...

Whatever you ordered you will get.
If it includes a Bamboo Medium, then there may be a wait.
If you don't want to wait and you'll accept cotton, email me and you shall have a high quality cotton shirt.

So now, the order is in. It takes a week from now, which means delivery on the 2nd or 3rd June as I'm in Barcelona next week.

I ordered 2 large rabbits . . .am happy to have only one delivered and wait for second batch for the other if that helps

The people that have tried out bamboo - is it really static-y? It's just I had a tshirt that sounds like it might have been bamboo (really really soft, a bit stretchy and pretty breathable) but it drove me mad because it used to make my hair go all funny after I put it on.

If bamboo = static, I'm happy getting my medium wabbit in cotton :)
