    I'd agree with that - it's got to the point where even their sale stuff is way out of my league. I appreciate the ethical approach, but it's hard to justify the spend sometimes - I mean, I'll never spend £60 on a shirt when I can get one down the market for £40-50 less than that, only it doesn't come with the organic/recycled/ethical tags attached. It's a shame because I do believe in that ethos, but just as I can't always afford organic milk for 20p more than non-organic, it's the same when it comes to clothing.

    That said, the prices were good when I popped by on Sunday, and was tempted by one of their blue softshells, but was more tempted by the Opie flip-flops than most of the stuff on the Howies stand.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but the e-mail I got from Howies said it was a sample sale. Why is it then that most of the stuff there was seconds, returns, faulty, misprinted, shrunk or ripped?
