Peugeot 93-94 racer ripe for conversion

Posted on
  • I have a Peugeot 93-94 steel racing bike that I commute to work on for sale. This bike would be ideal for conversion to single speed. I want to sell because I want something with handlebar shifters rather than downtube for riding in town.

It is in good condition (great metallic purple/silver paint job) and in working order (wheels, brakes, cables, saddle, downtube shifters etc all fine). The reason for the good condition is that for most of its life it was only ever ridden in the dry and kept indoors. The drivetrain needs changing (no problem if you're converting it to ss) along with the tyres and brake pads.

I'd be looking to get around £100 for it, and like the idea of its new owner giving it a new lease of life.

  • How about some pictures Tom? Frame size? What flavour of steel is it?

  • I can email a pic, it is 56cm, Peugeot's proprietary chromo steel (nothing special, or I would be asking for more $$$!). It is brazed (but not lugged) together rather than welded.

  • Seems expensive to me but I'll wait until some pictures are posted before passing final judgment.

  • Here is a pic - clearly it will need the mudguards, rack etc removing :)

  • nice rack ;-) ..would you sell it seperately?

  • certainly... but I want to shift the bike first :) I'll let you know if it is surplus

  • sorry for thread revival,

I have a Peugot Premiere 58cm (PE1on 60 ) with a few rust pin spots and requiring brake cable, front pads and handlebar tape. I'm based in East London. Having trouble loading pics at the mo.

I'm looking to sell it and wondered what is a fair price?

    Any help appreciated.
