  • Can anyone recommend a decent tattooist in London? One that preferably won't cost the earth

  • I'll do a Biro/compass job on you for a twenty.

  • hmmm, a whole score? I'll have to mull that one over. Cheers for the offer though! :)

  • what's the matter with you? that's a bloody good bargain

  • I can recommend my tattooist

not a shop, he works from his private studio, appointment only.
    south wimbledon.

PM if you want his number

  • id save that little bit extra and go to the best place you can find/or person you like the most. You get what you pay for with tattoos and however much it costs itll be worth every penny.

  • I want to bribe Mike Giant into coming out of retirement.

Good luck!! I think my dream tattoos would be from Mike Giant and Daniel Higgs, both now retired!! Darn!

  • Val or Xam at Frith Street. You can take your bike in too.

  • I couldn't say enough good things about 'into you' in farringdon. All the guys (and girls) there have their own distinctive style, and the work is amazing. Sadly though, the chap who did my sleeve there, Jay Saga, passed recently...a real shame.
I just had some work started by Harry at Flamin' 8 in Kentish Town, he's on this forum as well somewhere i think. I built his first fixed recently! Good work and probably reasonable rates?!

  • I like tattoos. I'll never get one though. In another life I'd be covered in them. A whole sleeve, shoulder, back, chest job would be my pride and joy. I suppose I can give more blood than the average tattoed perosn. That'll be my consolation.

  • into you is the one ...

the guys and girls down in the brighton branch are all pretty fresh too.

  • kinda off the point but can you tattoo over scars/small moles?

  • scars yes, moles no

  • there are some previous threads where this had been covered ;)

i recommend new wave with lal hardy and crew in muswell hill. bit of a hike but one of the best in the business £60/hr, bookings essential!

  • +1 for lal hardy - excellent work!

  • lmao lulz

  • what would love, honour and obey mean to him anyway?

I'm thinking of getting this, 5cm wide, right shoulder

  • haha, (to the chinese tattoo)

  • this is my next one, on my left upper arm.

  • I work with this girl who has some 'chinese' characters on her shoulder blade, I once joked 'what does that say, chicken chow mein?' and she said ''uh no, actually it was meant to say my name, but I'm told it actually says 'bag of sugar' ''... I felt bad... but its funny! Bet Beckhams sanskrit one reads 'I'm a complete cock'

  • i really don't get why people have Chinese writing tattooed on them...unless they have some genuine connection with china its a load of shit, like an attempt to look 'cultured'....bollocks!*
*does not included my sister :)

  • depends what style you're after.
Saira Hunjan at the Family Business is really, really good.

The guy that tattoed me, Thomas Hooper is amazing too! He's moved to New York but guests at Frith Street when he's in town
