Even if it is not the colour you want, you could strip it apart (unscrew it from it's backing) and have it powdercoated down at Arrotex, as it is fairly small it should cost you no more than £40 - so not expensive considering what it is.
Some people will of course decry this as some kind of sacrilege and demand you keep it original, but I really think it would look great powdercoated to match your frame, this could be the ultimate hip hop slave bolt.
As for the threads, if it didn't fit, you could have it re-tapped up at somewhere like Mercian ?
It's rare that something like this comes onto the market so I think it's worth the extra effort to get it just right.
