just got back on my geared bike too (but i used to ride that all the time) after ~ 1 year of absence
It felt weird. Especially the not being able to slow down without using the brakes. And the changing gear on the downtube.
But I have to go n-1 or n-2 in a couple of weeks, so am faced with a tough, tough decision about which bikes to sell. :(
