If it was a Mad Max bike it would have a V8 and some torpedo cannons..

The holes in the rear wheel and crankset are actually bullet holes.

Prefer the opener to that Tange frame.

• #2810
Is that gonna be your new bike tynan? It'd look good with a pair of mono-spokes.
-
• #2811
Hippy: yes, but you're australian, so of course you'd prefer beer! :)

That Tange frame is beautiful... What are the welds like? Where can you buy them? Can I afford it? That may well be the ultimate stealth frame... Seriously. beautiful.
-
• #2813
I want one. My guess is that welds are pretty good- seeing as tange are asia's answer to colmbus/ reynolds tubing wise.
Maybe hk fixed has the answer? -

:D
I will say nothing !

• #2815
if it is can you please tell me where you got it from.
I want one so badly. -
• #2816
I wouldn't even bother powdercoating it matte black, it's just too beautiful... Fuji Track Pro? Pfff! Seriously phwoar, looks like a pair of rookie AJ1s, which is the zenith of design IMVHO... I think stealth bike's going on the back burner 'til I get one of these... In the meantime the IRO's gonna have to get a rattle-can job... :) -

Tynan, whatever man, all I care is that it's covered in electroluminescent film :)

From the website:
Alloy Track frame
A Tange aerodynamic Track frame
Special shape designÉ.
Hydraulic forming tube
S-tube gusset with curve bent
Super short RC design
Fillet weldingI think I need a bit of 'S-tube gusset with curve bent' action in my life right now... I'm worth it...

Isn't that the most irritating website?
It's like: here are some nice frames for you to look at, but if you think you can buy them, ha!
Or if you think we'll give you any information of use, you can piss off.
bastards. -

I'm on it... I will find a dealer before the night is out... :)
edit: Er, I meant a Tange dealer... -
• #2822
No, it's not my new frame !! As nice as it is, on my next frame I am going lo-pro because all the cool people ride lo-pro (I think). But I would love to get my hands on that slice of new future hip hop slave spaceshipery.
The picture of the frame is from Tange's own website - http://www.tange-design.com/ - but the site is so shit that not only do they not have a list of dealers, but they also have no contact information or email address to enquire about stuff - useless !
If you stick 'tange track frame' into Google it takes you nowhere - but obviously the frames exist and are current so somewhere is knocking them out, maybe only available in Japan/Asia ? - like eyebrows says maybe HK fixed might be the place to locate them.
I would be up for a group buy, but you are looking at 50-100 frames.

edit: Er, I meant a Tange dealer...Go to it ! I want purchase details in my PM inbox by the morning.

If it is asia only, it is only a matter of time before i'm out there again so relevant details could be given and then, well you get the idea.
Japan trip 2 is coming up in december, Hong Kong return to place of birth, etc is also coming at some point....
But group buy as tynan says is unlikely...
They are sweet as, and if I ever get to do that frame building course I'm going to have to build up something like that.
