As mentioned in the T-shirt thread, a number of us think that a long sleeve merino jersey with some sort of LFGSS logo would be a great thing to have for the colder / winter months. Given the amount of time that the T-shirts took from the initial idea to being ready to order, now seems like about the right time to get the ball rolling.
The kind of jersey that I'm looking at is the classic one colour long sleeve with a white, or other coloured, band around the middle. This is where the text we choose would go. Portland Cyclewear (thanks to tommid for finding these) in the States has some really good offers, getting down to $43 per top, if we order over 30, which should be easy enough given the response to the T-shirts from everyone. I'm not sure how much extra the embroidery would add to the cost of each shirt, no doubt this is linked to the size of the work.
Anyway, at this stage that's not too important, the main thing right now is choosing a logo or text, the font and size of what should fill the white band on the jerseys. I'll set up some voting when we've had plenty of good designs in.
