Pete what about second hand frames, how is the market?
What could be in the cheap? $800 is not in my budget, but I know the people that for £180 had got a frame from Japan.

for that you really have to go and invest time, and visit the keirin equivalent of the HH jumbles or go to one of the builders and buy rebuilt frames, or buy off the racers themselves. Its a fair bit of effort, and one that rarely pays off.

Er, just to clarify, I didn't want no schoolgirls' knickers, I was just intrigued by it and people back home kept asking about it.

ill ask around some of the locals, but yeh, would really have to go to the races and buy at the carboots they have there (apparently).. the next local race isnt for months.
the japanese version of ebay is yahoo market, and, well, its all in kanji/hiragana and rather scary.
From what ive seen, the locals ride Vivalo/Panasonic/Soma/Surly.... not really as much Keirin on the street. Lots of arrospok tho!
Pete
I bought my Nitto Pearl and a set of Nitto Bullhorn for Ben's and it cost less for both to be shipped that a set of bars in BLB!! Ok, so a slight exaggeration, but not a lot more!
£28 for the stem, and £17 for the bars. £60 the lot including postage.
Waiting for some parts from NJS-frames, worth checking them out for you Sugino 75 Cranks.
