Learning to build frames.

  • I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to learn how to make frames. I am interested in the process, and want to know if there is anywhere in London which teaches all the welding, terms, etc.

  • I'm definitely going on a course sometime soon.
Will sell a bike or 2 before then though- to pay for course, materials, and sexy paint job + parts...

    thank skullhead for the info

  • Well there is Dave yates- booked until 2009 summer- sounds excellent. -£795 + materials + painting

see above for yates and below for witcomb:

also yates is in lincolnshire so- + transport + accomodation.

  • Cycling, fashion and the design of the bicycle

Tuesdays 7pm to 9pm, 10 places per course

An evening lecture on the design and fashion impact of the bicycle.
    £30 per person

    is this the hhsb course?

  • sure is.
final option, set up a workshop somewhere, get crash to teach us, set up some jigs as described in little fish's thingy. Go on tig welding course. done.
Or ask the new builder guy for advice, or DW.
    I'm going to ask DW.

  • that should have read, wait for Crash to start up workshop, then get him to teach us....

  • I didn't know that Witcomb did a course as well. Wicked. I saw the dave yates cycles one and have e-mailed them. I like the idea of a workshop collective though...
