@scwoocher: I would say, as a casual observer, that the aerospoke seems, here at lfgss towers, to be a heavy, unrepairable, plastic (with a deep v secreted inside it), expensive thing, somehow symbolic of victimhood. But it's not worth getting into a paddy about it.
Some people love em, and why should they not? If it makes their bike get ridden, its all good. They look fly, I suppose. I'm more into 'classic' looking parts myself... silver things, no powdercoating or anodized anything, vintage whatnot, gumwall tyres, saddlebags, brooks, all that jazz. Some people here hate that 'obsolete' stuff, too.
Some people like trying to get a rise out of people, (and all of them are on this forum). Like jonny said to me the other night, this forum has brought a lot of people together ... who really shouldn't be together.

Oh, completely forgot about this: spotted - The Cheeky Girls, Friday afternoon on Saville Row, they seemed to remember me (we had a random festival encounter before), but wouldn't pose on or with the bike.

Can someone just very quickly, really quickly, summarise this whole arrospok thing. i know there's a thread archive that will explain this but this computer's real slow, I'm at work, and as it's probably the biggest running gag on here, i feel i'm missing out....a single concise explanation will be doing a lot of people a favour. I beg you, please.
when you get the time be sure to read that whole thread - there are several works of genius on there!

+1 yeah sorry should have said... One of the best threads in the entire history of the interweb forum thingys, perhaps.
I removed my only contribution cos I though I might get into trouble at the time. Think I might re post it now the film the trailer was of has been released, for posterity.

Last night, Regents park canal by the floating Chinese restaurant - 2 guys rocking the spoks. Was busy weaving thorough fishermen, euro-students & pitbulls being walked so couldn't look too closely. 1st just had black front arrospok, but i think the other was bright green frame with yellow arrospok front and rear. Can this be true?

Visited London (for the first time really) and saw where I think you play Polo at the end of Brick Lane. I asked someone (who was sat in a camping chair) what time Polo started - was that you?? That's about as much spotting as I'll do until I come back in September to buy some more bits.

That was Andy of fixedgearlondon fame. I think there was about four or five of us at that point, and no one had mallets or a ball. Initially a very small turnout when you consider the gorgeous weather. You shoulda brought your bike [to polo/London, whichever is more applicable] Dewi!
