why apolagise for a rant, it's better than sitting there quietly nodding and mumbling 'uh-huh'
when your mum said "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"
she was trying to teach you to shut the fuck up, it was purely for her own benefit and the cathartic venting of spleen in your later life wasn't really her concern.
