  • Thanks for all the effort!

  • VB, sorry to be a complete damned pain, but in light of the above post, can I get a small and a medium Airfix (one of each).

Really sorry to be a pain, but I can't figure out how big I am today. Thanks again, and definitely owe you a beer or two for putting up with this!

  • Done, 1 S and 1 M in Airfix.

  • okay, can I get two airfix mediums please, instead of one small and one medium, (my original order) or the highly ambitious two smalls I asked for after that. Sorry for being a flibbertygibbet on the sizing.
All the hard work and organisations is muchly appreciated.

    many thanks

  • flibbertygibbet

    Word of the day! :)

  • 45 minutes until the order is sealed... anyone else want to quickly change?

  • Can you just go through all the sizes again? ;)

    (i'm kidding... honest gov!)

  • sorry for the late amend, I've got a 1x WAC and a 1 x Airfix on order I think, both were in small, but can I have em both in medium now? ta, VB, I'll try and make it up west this week and buy you an appreciation beer.

  • If this is too late, no biggy, but worth a shot...

If there is an extra 'What A C*unt' going in size M, I will take that in addition to the Airfix one I ordered previously.

    Thanks

    Thanks

    Done.

Orders totally closed... they're being submitted now.

  • I'll get the delivery date tomorrow, but the order is now placed and my credit card has taken a hammering (a severe one, as I had to do a cash advance as the printers don't take cards... the result is a 22% interest on the amount... so I need to pay it all back swiftly).

I've ordered the packaging too, that should arrive tomorrow. A3 bubble wrapped envelopes.

Just got to get onto the post office now about the collection, oh and weigh things so that I can calculate the correct postage for things.

Oh, and I've got to build a page so that I can take payments... that's my next task.

  • Round of applause for the Velocity Boy.
Build the page and we will swiftly reimburse you.
Looking forward to wearing my lfgss t-shirt with pride...

  • round of applause and pints for vb

  • Is anyone ready to pay right now who can test the payment page for me?

I've calculated the other prices, and it comes out like this:
    £12 per shirt.
£3 P&P for every 2 shirts ordered most of that is stamps and post office collection, not the packaging.
PayPal fees = 3.4% of total price plus 20p (bastards!).

I've kept things as cheap as possible throughout, and those lucky enough to get the M and L are not paying extra for the bamboo shirts.

If this is all great... then I just need someone to trial the ordering before I give it to everyone.

  • I'll give it a go

  • Cool.

    Head over to http://www.londonfgss.com/tshirts.php

Confirm that all of the shirts are what you ordered, and that the price adds up, and when you're happy click on the PayPal button at the bottom to pay.

Then go through the PayPal process and let me know whether that shows the same amount, the same summary... fill in your delivery address... and when you are done let me know here.

Then I'll check my email and confirm whether it all worked :)

  • Well it appears to have worked from my side. I can see that a couple of people have paid.

And all of the calculations appear to be close enough... PayPal still managed to take more than they said they would but not enough to be a problem (2p per order too much).

But I get the order summary, the postal address, and the money. So all is good.

Did it work smoothly enough for you guys?

  • Very slick! Better checkout than 99% of online stores!

Everything worked/summed up as it should have (on my end). 2 shirts, right sizes, right pics, correct £££. When I logged into PayPal, my correct address came up.

By the way, I like how you don't have to have a PayPal account for PayPal checkout. Just give them your cc/debit card info.

Anyway, all is good from my perspective!

*edit to say, I didn't notice the 2p, but you can keep the change. A pourboire ;)

  • yup... very smooth! thanks for sorting it out!

  • Brilliant, thanks for letting me know... I'll open it up to everyone then :)

  • That's amazing VB!

  • Hmm.

Those of you who have paid... I've marked it as paid. But I hadn't really coded that bit. So if you go back to the page it looks like you haven't ordered anything... I've changed the message, but I'll fix it so that you can see that you've paid and what your order was tomorrow.

Good enough for tonight though :)

  • thank you so much VB, money in the mank for you!! look forward to seeing them when i return to London!!

  • All paid, can't wait for the t-shirts, mucho mucho thanks for sorting it all out.

  • Sorry tom. I was being grumpy. I shouldn't reply too early in the morning.

And yeah rjs... I'll swap your small to a medium.

That's OK, I shouldn't try and understand t-shirt sizing that early in the morning.

Can people give you cash at the night ride, thereby increasing your profit margin? Personally, I'll happily pay the full "online" price and divert postage/Paypal costs to your pocket.
