I found the KMC chains to be pretty good, plus they're cheap!
The 710 and the 710SL are nice, but come out a tad wider than your average 1/8" chain. The cheaper 510 seems quieter to me...or even better, the 510Hx; a tougher, slightly beefier version...been running this on 2 bikes and no complaints!
Of course though, it goes without saying...make sure your chainline in spot on and both chainring and cog are 1/8" specific; if one is meant for 3/32" chains then it's gonna make hella racket, innit!
