as it's soon to be rested for a few months, with the possible exception of the DD will stick up my trusty Copacetic, captured just before the I.o.W ride last weekend. the same old boat too.
Always makes me sad to see a Copacetic hanging in the rack. Hope to see her back out on the road soon.

As in built for you? Who was the builder?
Here it is! I built the bike originally, and was consequently unsure about it, but Leo was in absolute adoration for it...so it quickly became his. Oh, and he's my brother, so i guess i let it go pretty easy to him!!
The frame was an ebay buy last year...got the frame and fork for about £70, quite a bargain! And it is 650 front, slightly difficult to tell from the crappy pic.
But yeah, as you can see it's a Martrac, which seem pretty uncommon, apart from another Leo saw t'other day. Lovely.
And, in action...

Dooley's (on the top tube) is a bike shop in Paisley. What's their name doing on the frame? They used to build their own bikes, but I'm not sure they do any more. Tis an establishment for roadies, though. Maybe it's some sort of sponsorship branding.
Was the eBay seller in Scotland or Middlesbrough?

it's really amusing to go back and look at the whole of this thread, people keep updating the pics of their bikes in their original posts, and then the response posts don't make any sense...

You've just looked through 55 pages?
-
• #2637
no, just the first 20 or so. i guess that ^^ doesn't apply to the more recent ones.

I think we need a more efficient method of keeping track of things... I suggest a section in your profile where you can upload a pic or two of your bike and face, and then a central page where they are all thumbnailed and searchable. Get to, VB! ;)

Yeah they are veery similar! I think mine has a different seat-stay though, my knogg won't shine through the gap where you have yours in the pic :)
And yeah.. I was mighty unsure about mine at first as well. a bit of jiggery pokery with the stem & bars arrangement & now I love it!

yep, the seat-stays are defo different and the forks look different too, just seemed a strange coinsidense for them to come from such close proximity, or at least the same side of the country, i ain't seen many lo-pros like this, as you know they normally have curved tubes or sloping top tube. i think these look fun tho, i've had plenty of people pointing and laughing which must be a good sign - a proper 'funny bike', when i've told people they called them funny bikes they say "don't you mean stupid" hahahaha.
yeh my bro wasn't sure about it but i loved it, smiled all the way home, then hung my other bike up for 4 or 5 months.

Well spotted Tommy! Only you could see my true potential, and I am indeed about to eat that child!
Brick, you made me laugh out loud at work! I couldn't be bothered to explain why to my co-workers. Peace and pedals. -
