The text on the Flickr page reads:

"Part of a shoot I did on Saturday for my college project. I don't know what to use. There's three seperate scenes from the shoot, all in the Botanics. The first was inside Kibble Palace, which you'll see when I'm finished editing them. The second, was from under a tree. These were the third batch. I'm not sure whether to use one from each, or just one from all three scenes. Especially as it's in the same location (the Botanics in Glasgow) and they're wearing the same clothes. I'm going for that "awkward" first date moment in these shots. In this particular shot, Olivia is waiting for Colin (who is late)."

Bizarre. A heavy bike and rucksack are bound to add to first date awkwardness. I bet you want a Langster now.

Plugs are heavy, but if that's the worst criticism which can be levelled at the bike, it's probably not a bad place to start.

Is it THAT heavy - I emailled Charge about the weight of the Plug Racer and they said about 22.5lb. The regular Plug must be about the same. When does a bike become too heavy? The load you push against when you pedal = drag + bodyweight + what's in your backpack. Want a lighter bike? Diet! I've just lost 7lb in weight, so my bike is far lighter. Kinda...

The weight didnt bother me.. i rode one at Evans a few weeks back and loved the stiff, solid, feel compared to others i tried.. so i put a deposit down and came back the next day to ride it home.. in my excitement i let some muppett in the shop peel the protective plastic off.. he managed to pull most of the effin decals off.. he really made a mess of it so gutted, i took the train home instead

after empty promises about replacement bike / decals / discount etc etc they sent it back to Charge and i was left with nowt.

And then found it was the last one in the country

Is it THAT heavy?

Not really. Not compared to mountain bikes, or even road bikes at the lower end of the price spectrum. But the Plug is weightier than its market competitors.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Are you hung up on the blue? Blue is nice I admit. The 08 models are charcoal grey, which is less exciting. They have the same brown tape and saddle. Looks like the same bike in all other respects.
