i've been riding clipless on MTB first then last couple of years on fixed and really rate the sidi/atac combination, but I've just put Soma 4gate clips and double single straps on my second bike, I thought it'd be good to have something that will still function but also allow me to use normal shoes if the fancy/need was there. Must say sidi/atac are infinitely better to ride in, feel so much more positive, stiff sole and positive engagment, feel so much more efficient, but they do unclip themselves in certain situations, even in extreme circumstances with new cleats and I've had a couple of hairy moments because of them. The clips straps I found to be more convenient in some situations, but they do feel veryu casual, I wouldn't want to do any serious miles on them. At the moment l reckon appreciate the option of having both. If I had to choose it'd have to be Sidi/Atac...
