Don't know what the spec is on this, but a buddy of mine made this last weekend for him and his missus to go on rides together.

Pretty cool idea, and it looks to have turned out alright:

I was thinking the same but I thik his missus is going to take the rear seat so he left the 'lady' style tube in place. Could do with a tiny reinforcement I think though

why is the front crank on the left side ? wouldent it be easier to go with a long chain fron a right crack all the way back to the derailieur ?

or maybe not since it would be hard to get the rear drive to work properly without a great deal of hassle
