  • Coasting through a corner allows for better balance on the bike with out the fluctuation caused by pedaling. If your goal is to take the corner as fast as possible then I would recommend SS over FG.

    But riding fixed (with decent cranks) means you can pedal through corners
    = bike travelling faster.

    "balance" is irrelevant - far too miniscule to factor in
