could i get these handlebars to fit the stem of the fuji track 08?
-
• #29
according to the fuji website the 2008 track has 26.0mm diameter bars.
so the bars you linked to would need a shim to make them fit the stem that comes with the bike. of course, you could also buy a new stem if you wanted to.

rad, im getting excited about the possibilities now such as, yellow bars with black grips and try and find a yellow chain.
sadly there isn't a big demand for track bikes in scotland so there isnt many shops that you can actually go and try different track bikes out
unless anybody knows of any?

Cuppa, what size bike are you looking at?
-
• #32
Well im either going to get the 58 or 61 as im 6ft 2inch im not too sure what one would be best for my size.

asm is right, the Fuji is a good solid frame that not many complaints are heard about.
asm is wrong to say "spend the remaining cash blinging it up slightly (brake/new handlebars/stem/saddle etc). The Fuji, as good as it is, is probably not worth 'blinging up'.
Ride it around for a year, and then decide what you want -

Cuppa, if you're 6' 2", from my experience you'll d be better of with the 61
I chose the colour of my bike, because I could, and Knew what i wanted.
If you are buying an OTP track from Fuji, don't, I repeat DON'T, spend an extra £40 just because you prefer the paint. (£40 will, if you're lucky, buy you a NOS Campag track hub) -

It's not worth spending anything on spraying a frame that you don't know
-
• #38
fuck it he should just buy that 55cm off don, its only 560
-
• #39
No, 560 is a fair amount to spend on a "first" bike.
Much better to go for OTP and work out where to go/buy next

no ship the really nice bike to england, don't like it, sell it to some one on here for chips.
i got eyebrows back.
-
• #41
Je ne comprend pas.
-
• #42
eyebrows wants the DW, but can't afford to get it, so i think the OP should and then sell it to eyebrows in a few months when it gets cold or wet for a vastly reduced price
-
• #43
Ah! good idea, perhaps he could buy more than one?

the extra £40 on the 08 model also gets you a better stem
