Is there is a massive explosion about to destroy that bike and the photographer?
-
• #3
A motive of transport?
Do you look at the bike then decide you'd rather take the bus, every day?
-
• #4
haha i hate public transport, im addicted to cycling my bike around.
maybe i will just stick my bike upon ebay and see what it fetches, as its been a project for me im not really sure what it would get.
ive looked at buying the fuji track?
they matte grey paint job one looks nicehttp://www.fujibikes.com/2008/images/bikes/photos_big/track_4.jpg

or what are my other options?I've not noticed the creakyness on mine. I did notice a bit of creakyness in the stem but tightening it up solved that.

is yours the 07 or 08 model?
have they improved the 08 model at all or is it just a new paint job?p.s - ive changed the photo so there is no 'explosion' ha

freewheel on that ?
-
• #10
mr t - what do you want? how much do you want to spend? any specific ideas?
-
• #11
Freewheel, one brake? Stylishly dangerous.
-
• #12
yeah, its a freewheel, ive been riding it/doing it up for about two years now and want to move on.
its an old vintage BSA Equipe, i bought it for 20 pounds from this shop in glasgow but spent a little bit on it.ANY OFFERS PEOPLE?
well im not too sure, im just kind of searching to see how much bikes go for, i cant really afford to spend over about £370
i was living in melbourne for a while and got myself a bike out there and it kind of showed me what its like to cycle a bike that feels smooth and solid and now i want something thats reliable now im home, ive been looking at the fuji track 2008, still mixed views on it though.
when i was in melbourne i had a shot on a Allegro - track
it felt very nice to ride. -

p.s - freewheel + one brake = rad
haha, if the brake fails, e.g - falls off, i still have two good feet to stick into the back wheel.
my friend in melbourne cycled a freewheel with no brake just because he didnt get around to buying a brake for about 4 months
-
• #14
I really don't understand the free wheel one brake thing. My old house mate used to do it (with gears) he's a really strong rider, welsh raody so i trusted his judgment, but wouldn't trust it myself.
-
• #15
uh oh! The freewheel nobrake or freewheel only one front brake discussion looming......duck and cover people, it could get messy!!
-
• #16
yeah, i can see how it can be sketchy to ride FW with one brake however, im getting a fixed now so i guess im the opposite where a fixed is probably safer than what im currently riding where fixed is normally associated with being more dangerous.
this topic is sliding on anyway, i need advice to buy a new bike

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY BIKES FOR SALE?
-
• #17
i might have, but i think it's beyond your price range. and i haven't decided which one to sell yet.
-
• #18
i just made a decision, i might up my price budget, so any offers let me know followed by information and a photo(s) and i will consider.
im desperate for something new to ride...

can anyone tell what the frame quality of the 08 fuji track is like?
think it would be worth buying a complete 08 fuji track and before i even use it, stick the wheels on ebay and use the money i get for them for some mavics or something?
does anyone have an idea how much i would get for a set of the wheels that come with the track? -
• #20
If I were you I'd get the fuji, ride it until the wheels are broken / really start to piss you off, then switch them. I don't think you'd get enough for them 2nd hand to make instantly switching them that attractive.

Cuppa T: if you do a search of the forum there's a thread all about the differences between the fuji track 07 and 08.
-
• #22
its all about fixed push these days

tbh i've never heard anyone complain about the fuji track. It's a solid bike. Good steel frame, nice base on which to upgrade.
Just get the fuji track and spend the remaining cash blinging it up slightly (brake/new handlebars/stem/saddle etc)
-
• #24
yeah, i just wanted to kind of get feedback to hear its "a solid bike" reassures me.
although i can get the 07 model for £40 cheaper than the 08 model id much rather spend the extra £40 for the new improved paint job, the matte grey looks tight.
i wouldnt mind sticking a red chain on it, can you get coloured chains for cheap?
also, does anyone know where i can or have a set of handle bars that are on this bike? their rad.
