i think if you confer with the seller to give you the item as a 'gift'.
There's loophole somewhere i believe ;) gift = no tax. -

Are they really simple forks? Like no friggin hydro or anything? Mike's [trampsparadise] coming to visit me in the States and if you bribed him with Beer he'd probably bring them back for you. You could write him and ask. If so you can have them delivered to me.

Thats a good thought, but they end tomorrow so I wouldnt have enough time to get it all sorted out probably.
Then theres the fact that i stay in glasgow so he would have to deliver them to me (and me the beer to him)

Theres a pair of forks im really after on ebay just now,
but i just bought a wheel and some cranks for america and got hit with 70 quid tax all in.
Have any of you bought forks or something of a similar size/weight recently and did you get taxed for them?
