So its already decided then??
What wheels you go for?
-

Good question... I have no idea what wheels they are...
I did it through paul at kiwi cycle and he said he will sort me out for 75 pounds... I am kind of on a tight budget...
Just before I posted this thread... he phoned me and ask do I want it to be fixed or ss...

what was your answer...should i wait until next week for the second installment?
-
• #31
91.67% fixed.... OMG....
and the 2 out of the 4 votes for ss are from Chris..... -

Well if your going to follow the herd then you might want to check out this site (especially as you got your wheels built by Kiwis):

freewheel in traffic is shit, if you're really ragging it that much round corners then you must be a pro TT'er.
which 5 joey deacons voted fucking singlespeed?

Maybe I've missed some joke here and you're just reeling me in.
Fitness or bike style don't particularly come in to it, much.
You got some speed up and your approaching a corner/bend.
A. slow down dramatically and play it safe as you lost your bottle when you fell off your BMX at the age of 7
B. From experience you know how to set your entry speed and how to distribute your weight so you can take the corner/bend with as little loss of the speed you had to begin with.

take aidan's challenge then.
-
• #38
Adjusting speed in traffic is a pleasure on fixed, on SS you will need 5 times as many brake blocks ...
-
• #39
take aidan's challenge then.
so the laws of physics don't apply to everyone?
When I have a rig that meets the criteria I'll happily take the challenge.

• #40
you couldn't handle my challenge.

you couldn't handle my challenge.
At the moment no.
I don't have a SS bike and I have a broken finger.
But watch your back. I'm sure you'll still be riding bikes in a few moths time.

TC... do you live in london... I really can't think of that many corner or any ...that I am willing to take at 20 mph....
I am a nutter on my spesh already... and i still don't take corner at 20 mph....

I voted SS. This is based solely on your grammar and spelling.Fixed wheel is going to be too much bicycle for you.
Apart from that, all the doom-mongers are creeping me out. Fixed wheel is like a normal bike, except you have to keep on pedalling. These tales of death-defying corners and fearful encounters with tarmac are rarities and reflect on the riders' poor bike skills. There is no innate and inescapable tendency to crash when riding fixed.

i figured that. very impressive too. i speak one other language abysmally.
Have you considered a bike with a ss/fg rear hub? You can have both on one bike.
