  • Eton Schoolboys will be marching in and taking over. Boris cnuting Johnson and all his friends in their 4x4s and mercedes will be driving around as the congestion zone expansion gets the slash and the £25 Congestion charge on big cars is scrapped.

A Sad Day.... I hope those of you that voted for Boris are happy when you get crushed by a 4x4 in Chelsea!

  • I didn't, but that's democracy for you.
I might still get crushed by a 4x4, but I suppose it's probably the "will of the people".

  • I'm emmigrating

  • i still don't think it matters

  • well were all fucked

  • Crucifixion's not so bad.

  • how can you say that?!!

  • Could be worse.

    You could be stabbed.

  • Crucifixion is a slow and painful death

    (i can play)

  • could be decapitated by a helicopter

  • "Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad, other things just make youswear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best..."

  • i whistled nothing happened

  • we'll need a 'Boris Johnson: Cyclewatch' now of course...

  • maybe we should get him a really nice brakeless fixie.

  • I can't believe this has happened.

    :(

For the rest of my degree, Boris is here. Hopefully the Etonion-Oxford prick will have fucked off, i.e. been run over, by the time I graduate.

This ain't going to be good, for sure.....

Edit: I really can't believe this. How can people seriously have voted for him? :S

  • I have the sinking feeling that it's the start of a downward spiral :-(

  • Sadly I was there witnessing it first person. The pain. Oh, and the BNP are a bunch of cunts. Unfortunately I had to listen to their speech.

  • Last time I listened to a BNP speech, I got arrested and spent the rest of the day in a cell.

  • Aroogah, wot wot!

  • I'm saddened by the selfishness of people who voted ken out because of the 4x4 tax and congestion charge. I believe people have (wrongly) used the mayoral election as a vote against the Labour government as a whole and not what's in the best interests for London.

we haven't lost any green seats in the assembly AFAIK, and the CG already in place is unlikely to be changed, so it's not all bad. as for scrapping bendy buses and other big statements? well it's unlikely given the budget.

I think, at best, boris will be a comedy puppet and easily controlled by the assembly. At worst? fuck knows, I really don't want to think about that.

I guess the old torys must have felt similar to this when blair's new labour got in.

Whether you liked him or not, Ken could run London, Boris appears to have trouble running a bath.

  • I going to look at it as an interesting experiment. In the same way I view the U.S's current leadership. If Boris is as inept as we all seem to believe hopefully it will make people more receptive to significant change at the next election, in the same way Bush has made it possible for a Woman and non-white candidates to be serious propositions for president.

  • you cannot seriously believe that either of them have any chance for 3 reasons, 1 they are not white men, 2 they are democrats, 3 they are either another Clinton, or they don't wear a flag pin.

welcome to middle America, we go to church, we vote, we don't think.

  • Boris' speech was the ususal bumbling inaccuracies; and then I went to bed.
I'm scared more by the BNP taking an assembly seat with an equal share of votes as the greens etc. not that they can actually manage to attend councils where they've won places before.

As to what boris will do? Well, I've had 10 text messages this morning from voluntary sector people panicking over whether funding cuts will suddenly begin. And its only 8 am.

Isn't it us Brits who are meant to be cynical? :)
