Hey, I can't comment on fixed towing (still building my first fixed). But I am very happy with my Carry Freedom City (http://www.carryfreedom.com/city.html)
BUT more as a 'round town'. I've not taken it touring but I expect the small, fat low pressure tires would make for a bit of a dead weight for longer distance rides.
That said, I did buy it with some casual touring in mind. The intention being to take avantage of it's ability to easily fold away when on the train/plane or having to sneak it into places bikes (and trailers) don't necessarily normally turn up (restaurants, coat checks etc)
oh and it costs a bit more too - around £200.

You'll have more weight so I would have thought a lower gearing and a rear brake would be a good idea but you know what you can handle.
More expensive but this http://www.extrawheel.com/index_en.php trailer looks good and come with dry bags.

looks good! I wonder with that hitching system whether it would be possible to tow more than one - like a train...

Cool, cheers for the sugestions, some of those look pretty dope, a bit too expensive though I reckon. We're pretty poor so I reckon we'll probably go with the budgwt one we found or possible make one from bamboo (!?) which sounds insane but seems to have worked for other people.
Cheers anyway man,

Bit of a thread dredge - sorry in advance
I'm looking for a small trailer in which to carry a small dog, a small long dog to be precise.
Lots of ready made things on line but I want something that doesn't involve ripstop nylon and netting - I want something cooler and more unusual.
Any ideas or links please?
Oh, don't want to spend buckets of cash, its only to help the little fella around town and the like.
Or maybe someone here on the forum fancies making something - that would be unique!!
Thanks!!

Will follow this with interest
My dad is going away around Xmas for a couple of weeks and leaving his border collie with me, so I am interested in medium sized trailers.

Get 4 bungies, wrap around your torso and the dog's torso (potentially in a back to back position). No need for trailer. You're welcome.

.
Me and a couple of my mates are planning to fly our bikes to Amsterdam and cycle home in the summer but we need to buy a trailer to carry our tent and junk. Has anyone ridden a fixed bike with a trialer on it before? I was just wondering whether I'll need to buy lower gearing/free-wheel/rear brake or not?
Also, the cheapest trailer we've found is about £80, anyone know of a cheaper one?
Thanks
Tedri
