I had 2 people ask me about riding ss yesterday, one guy at the bike storage at work so I can kind of understand. The other just opened his window for a chat as we went along...
Never had that before...

Do you live in London, England, or London, Colorado? So when they asked you about coverting, did you throw the bullhorn handsign and say: Wooooh dude that's a BITCHIN idea, maaan, I'm so stoked you came here, like, to do this, COS I RIDE FIXED TOO! Yah! Radical. Dude, like, totally.
Have you tried fixed pushin yet?
In answer to your question: I think its lame to be stoked, but I'm stoked that its lame, which is lame. Stoked! Got it?

Those pics are much better than my dodgy rant.^^
sorry mr bike man. I think, actually, its nice that you're happy to help people do this, a lot of people are rude about conversions (especially in bike shops) but I think they're lovely. Bally good luck to you, what.

Harsh, very harsh. Okay so someone's settled on a yank surf word for describing feeling good about something they do in the course of their job.
Might I recommend the slightly less current British alternative "chuffed"? or even "chuffed to bits", as you included "super"? As in "Is it lame that I am chuffed to bits etc.."
Come on, chuffed is a rad word.

'Lame' is too transatlantic when used in that context. Lame is what your horse becomes before you put it out to pasture.
"Should I find it disconcerting that I am chuffed to bits when someone enters my emporium and enquires as to the possibility of sorting themselves out with a fixed wheel bicycle? Shizzle."

You're right Platini, you're so right. I was being a bit lazy there.

Is discombobulation apt when one finds oneself feeling gay on the arrival of a customer into one's proprietorial bosom for the purpose of seeking manual attention to their riding parts?

I sense Roget has been plundered here... "bosom"..hehehe.. if not Bring then you are having an even quieter Friday than the other 144 of us that are signed in..and you must be at work cos if not you'd be grabbing that small chance for a roll in the "sun" ;)
when people come into shoppe for help doing conversions. Two people came in yesterday and i had to do some assisting to help kids do their first conversions.
it also makes me kinda worried that theyre turning ss into a trend though.
