Correct ! The animated wheel header is a mere 11 KB - whilst Chris's avatar is 15 KB and my own avatar is just under 20 KB.
Bring back the wheel !!!

It was causing problems with someone's browser - specifically, it was chewing loads of resources.
Don't know why, don't care. This forum should be made more boring to facilitate an increased riding amount within the core readership.. or something moo. -

Just found out that you can stop animated gifs in Firefox by hitting Esc.
Apparently the 'stop' button does the same thing in IE, but I can't check that.
