I wasn't going to put it on anything, never mind a POS. I saw the photo and all at once I thought: "I've never seen one before; it's not totally flat like other head tube badges; it reminds me of Sam the Eagle from The Muppets; must buy!"
Honestly, it didn't even cross my mind that I could hang onto the badge until someone was desperate for one, then sell it for an obscene profit. :-P
I don't think we're ever going to see the day when Coventry Eagle badges are selling on eBay for 50 quid. Flying Scot badges do, but there's a real demand for those. It's not just PJ who wants one. At the beginning of this month, somebody paid £4.99 for Coventry Eagle badge on eBay - it had a three-speed bike attached to it.
