I bought a pair of these a fortnight ago, to be worn over Lycra shorts:
The fabric is really light, and the cut is quite...well, sporty, I suppose - they're not too baggy and not too tight. The adjustable buckle thingy works properly. You don't have to fiddle with it every time you don the shorts.
£34.99 from Edinburgh Bicycle, which seems reasonable to me. So there. :-)
EDIT: All good, but no zipped pocket. Doh!
