I was simply asking about those wheels as i like the look of them, I'm not gonna go buy one tomorrow or anything, and I get people flaming me for using the word 'fixie'.

I didn't realise the aerospokes were disliked so much as I see a lot of them on 'FixedGear' galleries.
I don't mind them at all, in fact I think they look quite mad in a good way, but the honest fact is they are not great wheels, like I say above, slow, heavy, expensive and flexible.
So why do people use them?
Look nice, the white is super popular, a fixed gear icon all by itself.
Also, what happens when you go over a bump and a normal wheel would buckle? Do they explode or something?
