  • Living here for 4 years now I´ve came across a few really nice places, most of I would never found if I didn´t live / worked in the area for a while. Would be nice if we all could share some nuggets?

    Food:

    Francos, Rivington Street, Shoreditch

    map

Awesome pasta, best value for money I´ve found so far

    Chicos, Camden High Street, Camden

    map

Great italian pizzas for 6.50 incl a drink on weekdays

A sandwich shop, White Horse Lane, Mayfair

    map

Great wraps for 3.50, halloumi or falafel, huge! It´s a mediterranian place I think, across to road from an ex strip joint

    Coffee

The Coffee grinder man, Delancey Street, Camden

    map

He roasts and grinds beans, been there for 30 years, fantastic coffee

Market Coffee House, Brushfield st, Spitalfields Market

    map

Fantastic coffee, much less wank than probably everything within a mile radius

Gonna have a think for more places, please add if you wanna. Good places for lunch in camden gives you extra points

  • not sure if its still there its a few years since i lived in london, but the noodle bar at elephant and castle, just off the top of woolworth road!

  • West end

Icco/Ecco or whatever its called pizza place on Goodge Street £3-£4 for fresh made pizza served nuclear hot

Indian YMCA on Fitzroy square for supa cheap Indian food canteen style

Rasa indian restaurant meal boxes for the tastiest Keralan food for £3-£3.50

All the veggie indian spots on Drummond Street are wicked

    In Lewisham/Brockley

Meze Mangal and Cinnamon on Lewisham Way for great Turkish and the best Indian food I've ever eaten.
Levante in Lewis Grove for even better than Meze Mangal Turkish food.
Noodle House on Lee High Road cheap and cheerful

  • i like Amici sandwich shops on holloway road (there is also a pizzeria which i've yet to try at nags head). nothing too special but good food and service, all at a reasonable price(!).

  • ^beat me to it^
Squat & gobble on Charlotte St just down the street a little is also very tasty & serves generous fresh portions of 'comfort-ish' very swiftly for not a lot of dosh.

busaba is my favorite by a mile though just of Tot court rd, Wardour & by Selfridges where 2 can eat & drink beautifully for £35 and do amazing busaba burps after for hours
