the route through the countryside was really nice. views from the top of the climbs were excellent - we were blessed with excellent weather after a week of forecasts calling for torrential rain. i guess there were 550 spots, but i'm sure there were far fewer participants than that. they'll post the times on the website later on in the week, and that'll say how many finished.
my highlight was being overtaken by some dude on a planetX full carbon tri bike about 15 miles in, only to catch him up about 5miles later on the first climb. i didn't see him again until the end (when he finished about an hour after me!). i bet my bike cost 10% what his did. :)
