Just like a good VD clinic, I'm not here to judge.
The dropouts are fine, all you need is some horizontal movement in the rear wheel/cog to get the chain tension right, so you have that.
You will need to buy a flip flop hub. This is not something you want to (or can) be hashing together. You can then lace your Mavic rim onto the hub, but might be easier to buy the whole wheel. You then need a single chainring, make sure you choose an appropriate gear ratio as its the only one you'll have.
Next get your skinny jeans, flouro hoody and 'fuck you' hipster attitude and away you go.
