well, all the geared bikes i've had have been either hybrids, shit mtbs or cheap roadies.
and then in the winter of 2006 i got a bareknuckle, and some sexy phil hubs, the works, and it was fantastic! like reading 'on the road' for the first time. never had so much fun..turned me in to a right adrenaline junkie.
so i guess my perspective is skewed .. but i took it all over the south of france last summer and loved it!

But as a reformed cyclist and evangelical pedestrian prophet, I'm doing the real trend-setting. I'm thinking of doing the weird gay speed walking thing that they do in the Olympics, and I'll fucking do it all the way from London to Paris as well. Pied à terre, you cunts.

You can ride 600k over 3 days fixed.
You can't however ride the same distance and expect to keep up with the geared riders. -

i did 75 miles on sat and 80 miles yesterday on the road, not hard at all ;)
