If you feel a seller is being cagey, you should ask yourself: Do I want to contribute to the supply and demand of stolen bikes?
Is the bike 'surprisingly cheap'? is it off gumtree? will the seller only arrange to meet somewhere like a park? are they insisting on cash!? Will they only give their first name and a mobile no?
It's not rocket surgery

How much is he asking for it, if it's real cheap then you have your answer, by having two brakes, no clips etc its unlikely he's from here.

it's not brain science either... ;-)

Single until I get it home for a pedal and sprocket transplant, followed by a swift brakeectomy.
Thanks, I will check out the stolen bike page.

Is it off gumtree? Think I saw it last night about £200. No mention of brand names, just says £200 worth £500, track bike (with risers?)
I thought it looked nicked.

Yeah stay clear by the sounds of it, looks like someone has bought it and is trying to get rid of it..... sharpish!

it's not brain science either... ;-)
Nor is it a no science rocket brainer.

• #21
Good man for asking, I say...
-

Yeah i brought one of these and sold it.
They are shit, BUT they are also a good start if you want a cheap bike.
If you got new set of hubs Double Fixed 24H hubs from on-one for £30 you could have an ok bike.
The bike is heavyish but really £200 what do you expect.i would have actually kept it, but i got it home and yeah 3 complete bikes in the yard plus 3 frames in the room im working on i thought it was best to get rid of it.

Did he check the chain tension with a danish pastry?
Hi
First post, been reading a while. Might be buying the below, but the dude selling is being a bit cagey, so want to check no one recognises as being nicked?
Cheers
