I have an 80s Peugeot. Every one I've seen has a 1" Threaded forks.
Some bad maths in my head tells me the first fork listed is too long, and no maths is needed to tell me the second fork is Threadless. :)
I'd recommend Paul at Kiwi Cycles. He's built many Peugeot's, and as you can see from that links he has nice chrome forks too. If you email him, be patient as by day he's working a Witcomb Cycles.

Watch out, some of the earlier peugeots have french threaded headsets and forks. So if you stick standard 1" forks on it you may need a new headset.

i know...miro_o said paul at kiwi cycle has experience building up peugot frame... so I will see what he say....
here is a photo of what it look like now... finger cross in a few months time it will look better than its current sorry state....:D

put Aheadset on and go for threadless. lighter, cheaper and gives you more options

Yep similar era to mine.
Things worth knowing:
Bottom bracket is probably standard English tread. I kept mine and just rebuilt it with new bearings.
Seatpost may well be a crazy-small 22mm. If so DO NOT THROW YOURS AWAY, as your only hope of replacing it would be to find another original. Nobody makes replacements.
The standard forks have odd fittings. As your fitting replacement forks you can run modern calipers. That's good as the original ones are really, really shit. The brake on my bike serves only too fool coppers, and avoid conversations about 'fixie gear-wheeled bikes' with 'no brakes'.
