Then go bigger/heavier on the rope? the bricks and mortar approach looks costly anyhow.

what about bolting a piece of plywood in front of the hole?

think we can find bricks kicking around im sure we would only need about 20-30ish i recon. We are all thugs just go kick some old lady's wall down :-) and a bag of pre mixes cament cant be that much. on a good day there can be as many as 25 30 people at polo all put £2 in that enough im sure.

i'm all for kicking old lady's walls down but i'm just not sure the brick method is the best.

the bricks fit in the gap fine, me and le_car filled the gaps up yesterday with bricks that were lying around. think about it, a hockey ball is actually taller than a brick when it's on its side, thus we only have to worry about putting the bricks in where they fit. if the gap is too narrow, the ball won't fit through anyways so no worries.

bricks are the way - we need the ball to bounce, so we can do snooker-type hits. Makes me think a FULL perimeter would be the best, if done cleanly it would look legit, and improve the game SO much.

i'm up for the brick idea, its simple there were a few there already, then just look for a skip - broken bricks can fill the smaller holes, no need to use new bricks when we can recycle.

ok, there's enough interest in the brick method for us to have a crack then.

everyone keep an eye out for used bricks, there should be plenty about. if anyone passes a builders merchant check on sand/cement too (there's one near me so i'll try and check it when i get chance).

These are the two points which mack expensive and difficult. A few odd bricks stuffed in holes is doable. A well done full perimeter is alot more difficult.

can't be that hard to do a one brick high perimeter, at least on 3 sides (I don't think the council would find a row of bricks going behind the western goal very safe...).
Then when we play we could just have some planks of wood behind that goal so we don't spill out in the "fixed-gear freestyle" area

The best way to make a wall out of wood would be to get the long mettal bracket's for shelves and attach them to scafold boards. Think If we get enough peple at polo this week (weather permiting) we should try to do a whip round and go get materials from Brick lane market. dont think we would need to rase more than £20-30 and we would be able to sort the whole thing out. + a bit of scavanging.
