  • productive morning i thought.

10 x new polo mallets made
15 x cups cups of tea drunk
    40 x vegan cupcakes eaten

    roll on net week

  • Fellas, many thanks for hospitality (those cupcakes were top class) and introduction to polo today - i came away with only minor bruises and no major bike dents. cheers!

  • Yeah actually best idea idea of the day to share your toolbox!! I am trying to do it at home but it is too small and my tools are crap ... Unfortunately I just read your post now so next week I will try to pop in!!

    Thanks again!!

  • hey smallbrownbike, not sure if you got my PM... but wondering if you have suitable tools for fitting SuginoBB and cranks?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

  • pretty sure he has!

  • we'll be in again this sunday before polo, and i suspect my apron may well be donned once more. we'll see.......

  • Is this happening this sunday? I have a bianchi pista frame that needs it's cranks removed and a seatpost extracted.

(wtf is it with me and cranks?!)

... do you have an angle-grinder? They're shitty truvativ ones, not bothered about keeping them. But I'd rather my reputation wasn't...entrenched, shall we say.

    Fanks

    Alex

  • yup, it's on this sunday as per my last post. we tried to buy an angle grinder the other day, but were unsuccessful....

  • I've got an angle grinder . . .

  • thats worrying

  • I don't use it, however . . .

  • sell it to me then!

  • thats more worrying

  • hihihihihihihihihi

  • Hi guys, are you around this morming? Wich is the number of the house?

  • hi is this on over the next couple of week ends? I have a frame and need some advice on crank fitments etc????

  • Yeh its all on.
Quite a few people over at the moment.
Will probs be here until about 2ish, then we are making a trip to polo

    119 Shacklewell Lane

It will be on next sunday. But the one after that im not too sure about. Im off to New Jersey for a week and sheep is going on tour. So may not happen.
Will post up again on here.

  • pretty sweet turnout this sunday.. thanx to mary for the pancakes!

  • forgot to post yesterday, but open toolbox was good, for me and plenty of others, though I've still got creaky bike, nice to watch sheep use tools, and then attempt to use them in a non spacky manner myself.
if bike is still creaking you may see me again next sunday to attempt to rectify the situation again...

  • nice to watch sheep use tools

    ooooh matron!

  • Yeah, cheers to sheep and Matt (and their housemate/s) for their hospitality. It was great to have all those bike tools at my disposal, and great to have people to talk to about bike problems. It struck me that you guys really embody the openess and generosity of this forum. Nice one.

Oh but beware, whilst it may be advertised as free, sheep does expect a particular 'fee' that might be too steep for some :)

  • that's right completly right, top noch people, thank you for everything!!
No way to pay such "fee".

  • Rik..Hows it going with the rest of the bike build?
I am around tonight if you want to come and finish it..

  • oh and thanks to 50/14 for lending of the grinder!
did you get down to polo in the end? we got there a fair bit later after you left.

  • i saw him as i arrived, he was hungry and was going home for some food
