why is there a colour difference? is the rim anodized?
-
• #6
sano, going back to the original thread i was pm'd by both addie and object, wanting one each. that may have changed of course. worth checking with them dude.

Sorry Sano, I'm out on this one. All my coins are going on the warehouse and the affinity.

It looks anodised, but I can't swear to it, there's definitely a coating of some sort on there. Machining takes that coating off, hence the braking surface is slightly shinier. Much less noticeable than if you machine a coloured deep v of course, but I'm a pernickety bastard...

you picky bastard!!
i'll buy em
-
• #10
32 / 36?
EDIT - deep-vs are usually 32, right? -
• #11
Who does the best price on Deep V's? I would buy these, but only want a single rim with machine surface, and I want white really?
-
• #12
32 usually over here, but can get any size if you order in aus/states

Cheers Jonny, guess you have 32s? Might call in Cavendish tonight or tomorrow.

Dale - they're yours if you want them, just say the word and I'll save them. And it's your bloody fault I'm picky, after seeing your deep v/phil combo!
joshl - they're silver (says in the title!)
Tomsinsky - Brick Lane stopck deep V's from (I think) £35 each depending on colour and machining. Cavendish wanted £43! Mostly they're 32 hole.

cavendish and holloway cycles are good shops but very expensive i think.

£38 vs £37 from BLB! yeah mega expensive. most of the guys that work there are on this forum, so ask for a discount ;)

cheers -
• #23
I'll bring them to polo if that's cool, that way I don't have to drag them across town tomorrow...

Doh! Damn work getting in the way of my money-spending.
Buggery.
I bought these from Jonny for a new wheel build. The braking surface is machined.
Reason for sale - I just KNOW the ever-so-slight colour difference between the rim and the machined surface is going to annoy the piss out of me as soon as they're built, so I'm selling them in order to get some non-machined versions. These are perfect if you're running a brake/brakes
£55 for the pair - what I paid for them.
