I was wondering why I'd been singing that song from Finding Nemo all day today...
#just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming#

In fact there's a Typo, it's a 59cm seat tube and the dent is not really a dent but an undulation in the rolling of the tube, I couldn't even feel it, let alone see it!

Well. This seems to have been in this shop for over a year and I was surprised that when I rang them it was still there this morning and a size 59.
So I shot over there first thing. The dent in the bottom of the downtube is very slight and I could not see how it could compromise the strength of the frame in anyway, so I decided the best thing to do would be to purchase it as its a perfect size for me and a real fucking beauty. They also threw in a pretty nice tecora e headset. Together with the standard warranty on the frame. I think I got a real bargain there. Can't wait to get this beauty built up and put on the track and only ever on the track.
Cheers Gizmond for the heads up about this and Fiddy for the helpful message
Hope to have it ready in a couple of months

Good work, Mike... Can't wait to see you on the Miyata up against JimBilly on his FTP... Titanic Alu Battle! I'll be cheering from the stands in my Arrospok'd wheelchair... :]

Good work Mike. Looking forward to seeing that on the track.

was this the same one dammit was going to get?

I think so. Not sure if it was too small for him in the end. But the seat tube is longer than my Simoncinni and the top tube is longer by almost 3cms so its a great fit for me. It weighs almost nothing

wow it'll be nice to see that bike out on the streets at last
it's been in solitary confinement for years now
i remember seeing one down at the jon snow once wes's bike i think
the aluminium is finger pushingly thin
don't squeeze it to hard ! -

you're going to have to shave those legs now to justify the frame. ask fiddy where he gets his back, sack and crack done.

Mrs C will be thrilled... ;]

It will never see the streets as I will use this only on the track. When this is built up I will retire my Simoncinni from the track andyes that as my every day bike.
Going to have to sell the roadrat now to fund this.

Well thats why I referred to his PM, he has given me the number of a nice place to go

If Mrs C finds out about this purchase, she will hit the fucking roof! Not sure the leg shaving will quite make it up to be honest
Mrs C will be thrilled... ;]

Was the same one Dammit was looking at. He went for an otp Fuji Track Pro in the end.
Good work mike! Take it straight to the shed at HH, Mrs. C might never need to know. Let me know if you need a hand getting it down there. I live quite near bikemagic and can drive it down to HH some time.
I am currently trying to talk myself out of buying a planet x carbon. Your meant to blow your first pay packet, right? Or is that just with your first job, not every time you get a new job?

No, pick it up again and make that your training frame and get a Kimera frame to race on.
£2.6k to you squire ;) -

Chopped them all up a long time ago, I can't be trusted with credit cards. :-)
Anyone want some unused phils, help fund my new carbon obsession?

yes.
but no. -

I am completely the same. I am wild with credit cards. Completely irresponsible.
Going to have to sell my Cotic now to finish the build. And probably my old mountain bike. Maybe even my wifes bike :) -

Good work mike. I would be willing to take the Simoncinni off your hands. You know, it is time that bike had a proper home, with someone who would ride it properly. ;)

good work all round!

I used to lovingly eye that 'Nemo' up every time I was in there. Can't believe it was actually my size!
Good work, can't wait to see it built. Then I really will cry.

amazing that 1000 people read this thread, and presumably only mike actually called them.
i wonder how many other bargains are gathering dust on these here forums.

i'm glad you rescued the frame and saved it from being misused.
it would be criminal for that to end up being stolen outside an east end pub
