Single halflinks on normal chains

I thought the original point was to use a single half-link to make chains work with ss and bmx to get chain tension right. I dunno when the whole-chain half-link thing started?? Just make sure you get the right width and you should be fine.

chains entirely of halflinks are for sprocket grinds, etc, so the way all the plates are set up you don't rip the outer plates off. dunno why they are popular on fixed gears, they're ugly and they weigh a fucking ton. and are obnoxious to use.
