Rollers

Am trying to persuade my college to fit the gym with some sort of bike related thing, and was thinking of getting rollers:

Anyone had any experience of these?
We have quite a few decent cyclists in the college (I think Hippy saw one of them on his TTT) and so its a question of getting the best thing.

Are you at LSE or something eyebrows?

ebay occasionally has sets of rollers and other training devices appear.
Otherwise the mail order cycling shops will have a selection.

No suggestions I'm afraid... just get them to buy the most expensive. Expensive = good, right? ;) And it's not exactly like Imperial is ever short of £$€.

I am at Imperial, if eyebrows has any luck I would be all for the addition of some to the gym.
That said, I have some rollers at home and I have not yet quite got the nack of riding them, need a bit more practice.
Perhaps it would be easier to convince them to get some turbo trainers, or a combination?

nah, i'm at oxford + college is strapped for cash (as I write the hole in my room's roof is dripping dampness into my bedroom)

ahh, I see. Haha, makes me chuckle how some Oxford colleges could stuff their armchairs with £50 notes whereas others are skint. Good ol' Imperial and it's money-blagging skills.

No they have the thingy stamp that means they aren't poached but I am not sure where that means they do come from, farmed? Natural deaths? Not sure. They are super cool though.
