I shouted at a woman this morning doing exactly the same thing. Felt like bit of a nob afterwards, but wouldn't have been able to live with myself if she HAD gotten smeared along the road...

Leave 'em to it. One less idiot on the road getting in my way!
[RANT OVER] Sorry, but there were way too many idiots on the road this morning for my liking at its only going to get worse -

i feared for a woman this morning coming from north to south over old street roundabout. she obviously intended to head straight on south but a HGV just overtook to head east. she was nearly squished and you can tell she knew how close she came to that fate. not really her fault though if going straight you need to get out in the road and not hug the curb.

all this there are gonna be more idiots on the road
that actualy gonna happen? coz i all ready thought there were enough :(
i love london, but always love getting back to riding in the hills knowing im gonna see maybe 5 cars in the day -

the problem is a lot of inexperienced riders think they're safer riding slower and sticking to the left. in actual fact you're better off riding closer to traffic speed and riding assertively. if that means holding a whole lane as you enter a roundabout, then so be it.
nobody wants to see anybody get squished, though. idiots or not.

No they don't badtmy and my post was tongue-in-cheek. But yes. You are far from safe near the curb. I attack roundabouts by staying in the very dead centre of the lane I am in and not budging an inch.
My rant was aimed specifically at a women in a scooter who undertook!! me this morning as I was approaching a parked car with a van just about to overtake me. Im sorry but if there is a possibility of her getting taken out before she takes me or anyone else out then I go for the former any day of the week.

Pet hate = cars/vans that beep me because I am in the middle of the lane rather than hugging the gutter.

i had cringe moment this morining riding behind a massive long trailer HGV coming up to the roundabout by battersea park i hang back behind the end of the trailer and then this woman goes scoooting up the inside just as the HGV was turning left on the roundabout....thought she was going to get squished, heard someone behind me call her a silly cow, she mangaed to stop and clamber on the path...phew.
